Hydrotreating
Hydrotreating, the most widely used process to remove sulfur and nitrogen from refinery streams, often requires that a guard-reactor system be put in place to prevent poisoning the hydrotreating catalyst. In turn, the collection of heavy metals on the catalyst can frequently cause the guard reactor to be offline for maintenance.
Now, licensors are developing new methods for loading guard reactors with fresh catalyst without requiring a unit to be offline. And MOGAS is there to make sure these innovations are equipped with the highest-quality catalyst withdraw and addition valves.
